EQUA-VOLT is a low-cost technology that passively equalizes voltages at fixtures in low-voltage landscape lighting systems, thus compensating for the voltage drop along electrical cables. Voltage drop in such systems can reduce light bulb brightness significantly. Present techniques are more expensive or cumbersome (such as a hub approach with many parallel electrical cables). EQUA-VOLT can be retro-fit to existing, installed lighting systems.

    Co-Owner

    Curtiss Mixon is an electrical engineer with many years of experience in circuit design and layout, software development, and control systems. He developed software and hardware implementations of the EQUA-VOLT system.

  • Larry Shintaku
    Co-Owner

    Larry Shintaku is an electrical engineer and manager with experience in computer product development and manufacturing. He recently retired from Hewlett Packard after a long career.
