Silicona represents a joint endeavor between Mayaterials, Inc. (Mayaterials) and Wadham Energy LP (WELP). Mayaterials is a privately owned company specializing in development of silica containing compounds and material technologies. WELP is an independent electric power generation company whose sole asset is a 26.5 MW biomass plant. The facility produces 40,000 tons per year of rice hull ash, which comprises 90% silica in a highly reactive form.
