The Atlas is a start-up business that is developing a content driven, multi-platform, web application that will enable anyone to make use of the Atlas's comprehensive energy-related geodata to search, visualize, query and make reports. The Atlas aims to assist users to identify opportunities in energy and enable them to find suppliers, jobs, tenders, fuel and home energy.     Alec has worked in the energy industry for over 11 years and in business and agriculture for 23 years in various roles from general manager to Government adviser.
    He is an energy expert specializing in the analysis of energy resources, the location of new facilities, forecasting demand and supply, and the dynamics occurring within the changing Australian energy system. During 2011 he was awarded a PhD for his work on energy system analysis.
