Company Summary
Obesity is a growing global epidemic without sufficient treatments. The EndoRetics device will provide surgeons and gastroenterologists with the ability to create a small gastric pouch in the upper stomach without the need for a surgery suite and no general anesthetic. The low cost, reversible, incisionless procedure will be performed on an outpatient basis. Easy transferability will allow more physicians to treat patients for obesity.

Dr. Hazey is Associate Professor of Surgery, Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery, Department of Surgery, The Ohio State University. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery, advanced endoscopy and natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES). Dr. Hazey has conducted numerous clinical trials and consults in the area of minimally invasive surgery and NOTES.

Mr. Huddleston has over 12 years of experience in medical device development including project management, design and development, verification and validation testing, regulatory affairs and intellectual property. He is a USPTO Patent Agent, Professional Engineer and the Principal Investigator for the EndoRetics SBIR grant application titled, “Incisionless Endoluminal Bariatric Device Design and Testing.”
