We are developing the technology to systemize performance of Water-Aided Endoscopy in gastroenterology procedures. Routine use of WAE promises to improve the detection rate of polyps, make their complete removal faster and safer and to enhance patient comfort, thereby reducing the level of sedation required. WAE will be an important component of both routine screening colonoscopies and more complex interventional gastroenterology procedures.
