ENCAPSULATE develops a transformative automated tumor-on-a-chip system that is capable of growing patient-derived microtumors, to screen them against a variety of chemotherapeutic drugs. With the use of Encapsulate biochips, the most effective cancer drugs against a specific patient’s cancer cells can be determined. The information will then be compiled and relayed to the oncologist as a consultation report to help them in the decision-making.
