Company Summary

We offer some of the poorest people in Sub Saharan Africa a chance to use cleaner, cheaper, safer and more reliable energy resources. We act as an enabler for thousands at the Bottom of Pyramid to become better custodians of their local environments and improve their lives. With this initiative, they can: Have electricity, Improve their health and wellbeing, Access business development opportunities and Reduce deforestation and pollution levels.

    Almost 20 years of experience in the UK not for profit sector, working at mid to senior management levels. Experienced mostly in business and community development, working with London's largest and poorest migrant communities. Educational backgrounds include degrees in Applied Economics, and Management and Accountancy. Truly passionate about community empowerment at all levels and believes “Knowledge is power, and power brings freedom".

  • Sophie Cottrell
    Ms

    Over 25 years working in the not-for-profit sector, with a variety of prominent organisations including the Red Cross, the Refugee Council and Refugee Action. She has worked in the field of community development and capacity building for nearly 20 years and is an experienced trainer and fundraiser. She has a particular interest in Africa and renewable energy. She has a BSc in Biology and has undertaken a wide range of training in related areas.

  • André Bibombe Kabwe
    Mr

    Andre is a Mining Engineer (Master's degree) with over 20 years experience in renewable energies. He specialises in project implementation for hydraulic and solar PV energy generation, and trained in energy planning with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He is an IAEA expert and trainer on issues such as needs analysis and project implementation for regional energy systems in developing countries.

    Ms

    A graduate from the American School of Business (in Brussels) with strong PR and marketing skills. Jessie worked as Account Executive with DRC national mining company for over 10 years, and was responsible for sales and marketing operations in Europe and USA, taking the lead on inventory and procurement operations, global marketing campaigns and events, and PR issues. She now dedicates her time and effort in raising her two daughters.
