eMotion's plug-and-play system consists of a buildable and customizable network of wireless gestural sensors and a visual software interface. We enable artists on any instrument to use intuitive performance gestures to control virtually any aspect of their performance periphery. Our products streamline operations and add value to performances, empowering musicians to effortlessly control effects processing, lighting, audio mixing and AV effects.

    Julian Paul Miller

    Julian Miller was Dr. Udell’s first recruit to the eMotion team. Charismatic, enthusiastic and equipped with an MS in Entrepreneurship, Miller brings energy and experience to the table. He has co-founded several companies and continues to fuel his ardor for innovation in the community, acting as an ambassador for the Gainesville Area Innovation Network and helping organize Startup Weekend Gainesville.

    Dr. Chester Udell
    Inventor, CTO

    eMotion Technologies is the manifestation of more than a decade of Dr. Udell’s drive and desire to advance the music industry. He has a Ph.D. in Music Composition with an outside concentration in electrical engineering, and has merged these two passions in developing eMotion. Dr. Udell is currently a professor and researcher of Music Technology & Intermedia at the University of Oregon.
