Element has leveraged open source software to produce a highly stable operating system that we aim to seamlessly integrate with our own brand of hardware.   • Samuel Hagen
    President/CTO

    Graduated from RPI with an MS Physics, focusing on computation and complex systems analysis. He raised over $50,000 in seed capital for his previous venture, UpSmart LLC. Sam led his team to the national SSM Business Plan Competition finals at the 2013 South by Southwest conference. Sam was elected president of the Saint Pauls Community Outreach Committee, serving Troy NY. He also plays water polo and the cello, bass and mandolin.

  • Heidi Moore
    Engineer

    Heidi is a Lieutenant with the United States Air Force, working as a developmental engineer on the A-10 Warthog. Heidi graduated from RPI with dual degrees in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. Her interests include CAD, modelling material strain, and fluid dynamics. She also helped develop a system that uses xml to display interactive 3D models in web environments. In her free time, she enjoys hacking Android software and water polo.
