    Melissa received her M.A. in Special Ed from LIU and is currently pursuing her Ed.M. from Columbia University. Melissa was NYC Teaching Fellow and has been a special ed teacher in a Title I public high school for 8 years. She has taught collaboratively with 14 teaching partners. In 2010, she was nominated for NYCTF Teacher of the Year, and in 2011 she was selected as an Urban Teacher Resident Mentor for teachers entering the profession.
