Company Summary

Did you know that disposable nappies can take more than 500 years to breakdown in landfill? And that they can contain a long list of chemicals including chlorine, bleaches, dioxins, phthalates and heavy metals?

Neither did we until we had our third child and decided to find an affordable eco disposable nappy. We couldn't find any that were genuinely eco, so we started researching ingredients and decided to create one. After 2.5 years of International R & D, and 3 prototypes, we started to pre-sell our nappies. We pre-sold 800,000 nappies to Australian families before we even produced our first container!

Two years on, we have now made more than 3 million nappies and supply families around Australia either direct on our website, using a subscription model, or through over 250 retail outlets.

Our nappies are cutting edge eco (but perform the same as leading supermarket non-eco brands), and we are the first nappy company in the world to use 100% compostable packaging! We are proud to sell our nappies for a similar price point to leading non-eco brands, making them very affordable.

We have added baby wipes to our products, and we are world leading with wipes as well. Our wipes use unique embossed material to make wiping easier, and our wipes are not only compostable but are cross woven too making them tear proof.

We have plans to roll out other eco bath and cleaning products, and women's sanitary products (part of the reason we are seeking investment).

All of our products will have the ethos of genuinely eco, high performing yet truly affordable products.

Our goal is to grow our online sales significantly, whilst still pursuing the leading supermarkets as stockists. This way we achieve maximum brand value for possible future acquisition/sale.

We have also been offered the opportunity to start selling our products direct into the Chinese market via TMall Global, through a strategic partnership with Australia Post.

We recently won the 2015 Telstra Start Up Business Award and last year we won several other awards. We have been on Channel 10 news, and in every major newspaper around Australia.

We are very passionate about growing Ecoriginals to become one of Australia's best baby companies, and a household recognized brand name.
