Company Summary

Kenya faces the triple challenge of managing its municipal solid waste, conserving its forests and reducing poverty in line with its MDG commitments. EcoPost recycles the waste plastic to manufacture durable plastic lumber that provides an alternative to timber while creating hundreds of job opportunities. There's huge demand for the products that EcoPost is already sustainable and profitable having sold thousands of fencing and road sign posts.

    Lorna is committed to environmental excellence integrated with a business wide approach to sustainability. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and has vast training in entrepreneurship. She brings on board skills in management and business development. She has also won several local and international awards and developed a community engagement program whereby she works with marginalized youth and women.

    Co - Founder & Director

    A Biochemical engineer, who is passionate about using his technical expertise to create new innovations holds a 1st Class Honours, Master of Engineering degree in Biochemical from University College London. He brings on board skills in plastic extrusion technology and oversees operations in the organization. He was selected as the 2010 IChem E Innovator of the year.

    Holds a business degree from the University of Sheffield and is involved in making key strategic plans for the organization.

    Jessica holds a Communications degree from Daystar University and she is in charge of all the PR & communication in the organization
