The unconventional oil & gas industry uses large volumes of water in their daily operations. Water is a significant management pain-point for these oil and gas E&Ps (Exploration and Production companies) because of issues with the sourcing, and ultimately, disposal of this water. Additionally, the onshore oil & gas industry is under pressure to reduce development capex and production operating costs, in addition to its overall water use.
