Company Summary

Farmers need a way to catch low oil levels during operation of farm implements to avoid costly repairs and unnecessary downtime. Farm implements such as Combines are complex pieces of equipment with five or more components that must be checked manually before starting up. A solution to automate this process is now here.

Team

  • Allan worked six years in the Engine Research and Validation field before starting the Digital Dipstick Company. During that time he became a Senior Engine Lab Validation Technician for Caterpillar. In 2008 Allan graduated Spoon River College with a Diesel Tractor Technology degree. He also has experience operating equipment on family farms. During his time at Caterpillar and helping on the farm, Allan saw a need to better measure oil level.

  • After being honorably discharged from the US Air Force, Travis attended ICC where he gained degrees in Electronics Engineering Technologies and Industrial Electronics Technologies. After graduation he worked for the US Army Corps Engineers. He then worked as the Instrumentation and Calibration Engineer plus as the Quality Manager for ARPL. Travis and Allan worked together at ARPL for 6 years before leaving to start the company together.
