Company Summary

Diastora is an e-commerce company that brings in-demand ethnic groceries to immigrants in the US through a network of websites. We'll be the first standardized online offering for ethnic groceries in America - Filipino, Vietnamese, Iranian etc. Our approach is to focus on one population, then replicate. We're starting with the African community because it's the fastest growing population with the biggest unmet need.

  • CEO, Cofounder

    Tosin Osibodu is a Co-Founder and CEO of Diastora. Prior to Diastora Tosin worked at AppNexus where he built internal applications to increase liquidity in the AppNexus marketplace. Before AppNexus Tosin worked in Business Intelligence at Wayfair.com where he built applications to automate advertising bids. Tosin graduated from the UPenn with a B.S.E in Systems Engineering and from Dartmouth with a Master’s in Engineering Management.

    Ian Cohan-Shapiro is a Co-Founder and COO of Diastora. Prior to Diastora Ian worked at Google, where he lead Search Marketing for Africa. before that, he lead SMB Publisher Marketing for Google. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Morocco where his research focused on the start up ecosystem there. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Political Science and Modern Middle Eastern Studies.
