    Andrew has 15 years of leadership experience as a cofounder or chief executive in four medical device companies. He co-founded and served as CEO of medical device startup American BioOptics (acquired), served as the interim CEO for venture-backed startup SonarMed, and co-founded Sensant Corporation, a Silicon Valley-based 3-D medical imaging firm that was acquired by Siemens. Andrew holds BA/BS/MS degrees from Stanford and an MBA from Kellogg.

    Adam has significant academic and clinical research experience with emerging biomedical imaging and diagnostic technologies. Adam has authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles on electromagnetic tissue interactions, imaging techniques, statistical fields, and medical diagnostics. Adam holds a BS from Purdue and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

  • Chief Medical Officer

    Stephen is a pioneer and an internationally recognized leader in the field of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and is the Bliss professor of Engineering at the University of Illinois. He is the Director of the Illinois Imaging Initiative, a cross-disciplinary research effort of over 200 faculty in the field of medical imaging. Stephen obtained his Ph.D. in Medical and Electrical Engineering from MIT and his M.D. from Harvard.

  • Chief Scientific Officer

    Scott is a physicist and expert in theoretical optics. He earned a PhD in 1999 at the University of Rochester and has been a member of the faculty at the University of Illinois since 2001. His current research interests include near-field optics, coherence theory, inverse scattering, and other aspects of theoretical optics.

  • Engineering Lead

    Scott has significant medical device software and systems development experience including 10 years of design and engineering leadership in medical imaging systems at Siemens and four years at startup American BioOptics (acquired). Scott holds a BS in Bioelectrical Engineering from Marquette where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

    Chief Business Officer

    Kathryn is a goal oriented, health care leader with C-level operating experience. As a venture capitalist with the $55M Midwest research-focused Illinois Emerging Technologies Funds (2004-present), she personally sourced multiple successful deals. A former healthcare investment banker and CFO of biotech firm Quark Pharma, Kathryn is knowledgeable in a broad range of fields, including strategy, operations, law (she holds a JD), and finance.
