We manufacture commuter bicycles from American-made steel in our factory on Detroit’s West side. Our mission is to bring back quality manufacturing to the United States by making accessible commuter bicycles in Detroit. We plan to not only become a strong retail brand, but more importantly become the manufacturer behind the growing American-made bicycle movement.

    Jake's brings a majority of his experience from other early stage startups. After interning at Detroit Venture Partners he became a Venture for America Fellow, serving his 2 year Fellowship at the financial technology company Benzinga. Following that he co-founded the non-profit Motor City Machine while working remotely as a recruiter for Venture for America.

    Zak Pashak is known best for founding the Sled Island music festival in Calgary Canada. Rated as one of the top 10 music festivals in 2014 by Time magazine, the festival creates over $15 million in economic activity for downtown Calgary each year.

    Heading into its 9th year, the festival hosts more than 350 bands playing at multiple venues over the course of 5 days.

    The festival gave Zak significant experience in developing consumer brands

  • Tom Berkery
    Operations Manager

    More than 35 years of experience in the auto industry with companies such as McLaren Performance Technologies and Ford Motor Company. Over his career Tom has gained significant experience in project management, sales & services, R&D, and production.

    Tom manages day to day operations in the Detroit Bikes factory while heading up Detroit Bikes prototyping.

  • Outreach Coordinator

    With over 12 years of communications experience including over 7 years with the Wayne State School of Medicine and nearly 4 years as the Communications Director for Digerati, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts to aid in Detroit Bikes' growth.

    Mikes primary responsibilities revolve around garnering press and exposure for the company while also aiding in the growth of the Detroit Bikes flagship retail location.
