Cara Moretti is a dermatologist with interests in nutrition and epidemiology. She holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Harvard University and an MD from the University of Chicago. Recognizing that this has social, environmental and health benefits, her aim is to help curb the obesity epidemic and improve the overall health and wellbeing of Americans.

Sara has two decades of experience in consumer media and Internet. Has worked in multiple start-ups as CEO and has held senior positions at Barnes & Noble, Third Age Media, and PC World Online. Sara earned a B.A. from Harvard University, an M.A. from Cambridge, and an M.B.A. from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She is currently board secretary of the nationally acclaimed magazine, Mother Jones.

She brings more than 18 years of executive-level experience in graphic design, UI design, information architecture and e-commerce design. She held senior design positions at Organic, Sony, and several Silicon Valley e-commerce, gaming and lifestyle start-ups and has particular expertise in UI design and front-end programming.  She has a Master’s degree in social psychology and earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at Berkley.
