When it comes to orthopaedics, specifically spine, the patient’s bone density is often the best predictor of the surgical outcome. Using this fact and existing CT scan technology, we are able to create a density map of each vertebral body. Our map will be given to surgeons preoperatively to utilize regions of high density. This will improve device fixation and patient outcomes. Our goal is to have this imaging be used for every spine surgery.
