After spending more than a decade delivering high-quality software solutions spanning government, education, finance and e-commerce, Joe set out to offer something unique in New York City: a development shop of talented engineers who can step back and see the bigger picture. Joe brings his mix of engineering muscle, business acumen, enthusiasm for challenges, and technical leadership to the helm of every Def Method project.

Julia Macalaster is a technology professional who has worked in data analytics, strategy consulting, e-commerce and mobile solutions. In her current role as Head of Strategy at Def Method, Julia partners with clients ranging from small startups to large enterprises to build strong and sustainable digital products. Additionally, Julia continues to focus on her startup, PreeLine, which she co-founded in 2014.

Bryant has several years of operations experience in a wide array of industries, ranging from agriculture, where he managed a large farm in Australia, to financial services at PNC Bank. Most recently a Program Coordinator for Columbia University’s MBA program, Bryant throughout his career has displayed the ability to problem solve by utilizing his excellent critical thinking skills to complete a wide array of tasks and challenges.
