CEOAn entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in specialty coffee. He has opened over 30 cafes in 5 countries working with independents, franchise groups and diversified coffee businesses. Before Daylight Mind, he led a $15 million dollar roasting firm in Melbourne, Australia as CEO. A founding member of Fairtrade Australia and pioneered Certified Organic Coffee in Australia. He holds an MBA with a focus on environmental sustainability.

Wholesale and quality directorShawn Steiman holds an MS and PhD from the University of Hawai‘i in the field of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences and is a globally recognized expert on coffee. He is widely published in academic, industry and popular press on various aspects of coffee, including three books of his own.
Shawn has consulted widely throughout the coffee growing world, assisting projects in Haiti, Ethiopia, Puerto Rico and across the Hawaiian Islands. -
Operations DirectorMillay Stevens has a broad range of experience in finance, administration and company operations. Her expertise includes data analysis, process optimization and capture. She holds an MBA from Curtin University with a focus on finance, risk management and process engineering.
Millay oversees and codifies the day-to-day operations of the company. -
Eddy GaskillFranchising DirectorEddy Gaskill has acted in senior executive roles for multinational hospitality companies in the UK and Australia including Whitbread, a FTSE 100 firm, Barracuda, a private-equity backed pub firm and as COO of Dome Coffee Australia with over 100 stores in nine countries. He has an MBA from the Manchester Metropolitan University and is in the final year of his PhD in hospitality focused Design & Innovation from Curtin University.

ChefChef Martin Rathbun discovered his passion for food later in life after a career as a Medical Examiner. Finding his true calling he attended the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School, graduating in 2009 and began his career in at the Four Seasons Hualalai.
Martin oversees the baking and patisserie division of our business.
