Prodan worked as content editor for influential tech aggregator Techmeme.com which is catered toward an influential audience of venture capitalists, investors and executives. He also helped start and manage a news publication that focuses on college startups called Student Startup Beat. He's also managed the PR campaigns of the Federation of Independent Student Societies in Bulgaria, a student organization part of the European People’s Party.

Alec is a graduate of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. He has been working in the music industry since 9th grade when he created music blog, The Laidback Life, eventually growing it to 20,000 monthly listeners. He's also worked under the VP of A&R at Epic Records and for Velvet Hammer Management.
