Bo Mason Li was born in Sichuan, China in the late 1960s. He graduated from the Dept. of English, Mianyuan Teacher's Institute in 1992. Before moving to Madison, Wisconsin and marrying his wife Kimberley, a Wisconsinite, he lived in Beijing as a writer and English translator. Bo Mason Li is an American citizen.
