CoverBand makes learning to play music exciting by giving users the experience of being a part of their favorite band. It turns practicing music into a game. Users will have the most fun they've ever had practicing music and will become more enthusiastic about learning to play their instrument.

    CEO

    Jonathan used his knowledge of the piano from years of lessons to teach himself how to play the guitar. By finding fun ways to practice and improve upon his guitar skills he soon became much more passionate about the guitar and lost interest in the piano. Knowing the importance of having fun while playing musical instruments from this experience, he incorporated the ways in which he had fun practicing the guitar into the smartphone app CoverBand.

  • Max Torop
    CFO

    Max began playing guitar at the age of 8. Since then he has learned vocals and sound manipulation on digital audio workstations. He currently learns from Gabriel Cummins, a former music professor at NYU. Max first learned to program when he was 12. Since then he has taken a course at MIT to learn how to make Android application's in Java. Max is currently taking an AP Java course. CoverBand combines Max's two passions.

    Kyle is excited to be working on marketing. He has some experience with marketing, as he interned at Bloomberg Television over a summer, and has been guided by his father, who sells Bloomberg Television packages both nationally and internationally on a daily basis.
