Company Summary

Core Learning Exchange is committed to progressing competency-based, personalized, and blended learning while promoting student equity and equal access to quality education no matter age, ability, race, or income. We reject the one-size-fits-all factory model of teaching and advocate for a student-centric approach.

Our mission is to engender a self-sustaining ecosystem of educational curriculum and service providers that rewards student achievement. By providing professional authoring tools and the ability for master teachers to self-publish, we seek to democratize the creation of digital curriculum. Our revenue sharing marketplace levels the playing field for content distribution, and disrupts the decades old procurement model that has afforded a few large publishers a monopolistic grip. We redistribute 60% of our subscription revenue back to our curriculum providers in proportion to the level of usage. To promote equity, and stimulate innovation for students at the margins, we pay higher royalties if the curriculum offerings serve special needs. Our approach is the “aha business model” the educational market has been waiting for. At scale, the approach creates a virtuous cycle where only the providers that are innovating, staying current, and have a laser focused on student achievement are rewarded.
