Our objective is to preserve vision in patients with glaucoma and other ophthalmic conditions. Clearly preserving vision in patients with glaucoma with a simple drug could significantly change blindness prevention. We have already identified several drugs that works against our desired target in the eye, a protein called connexin 36. We will also identify inhibitors of connexin 45 for diseases outside glaucoma.
