Company Summary
Comerciando Global is a consulting firm, specializing in providing consultancy services on different areas of management, with a high specialization on international trade.
The IST project (financed by the EU and 12 partners: 4 of which Chambers of commerce and Confederations of Business Associations- of 8 different European countries) Xportplus.net, an e-commerce/internet project an Internet platform for foreign trade to facilitate world-wide transactions, including real-time calculations of duties, taxes and any involved costs and integrating the value chain of foreign trade operations, in order to help SMEs to export. Project winner of the best entrepreneurial idea of the year in the RTVE contest granted by the Federation of Spanish Chambers of commerce and the IESE and IE business schools contest to the best business plan. Finalist in the prize of the EVERIS Consulting Foundation.
The Easytrade project involves the development of the prototype to the project pursued today. At the time the main objective was researching and developing a prototype of the B2B platform in 7 languages, aiming to provide SMEs and large companies with the necessary tools to perform all their foreign trade operations easily and efficiently, reducing the impact of psychological and linguistic barriers linked to each market, as well as the paucity of information with which small and medium enterprises are faced when exporting, while putting them in contact and offering them a window to the world, especially designed for foreign trade operations.
Moreover, foreign trade in Europe has grown between 5% and 7% annually over the last decade. In 2004, as companies had their market share, more or less captive in domestic markets, they were not particularly interested in exploring new markets in which they perceived important risks. After 7 years of economic crisis, everyone has understood that a company operating only nationally, means very limited growth, and multiplies by 8 the risk of ceasing to exist within three years.
Despite the fact that 10 years have elapsed since the accomplishment of this prototype, it is today, when the solution can have greater success
Nowadays, thousands of people admit to spend more than an hour a day on LinkedIn, trying to find new opportunities for their businesses. Meanwhile, companies in the EU declare that the hardest thing for them is finding customers. In response, would it not be better to create a digital platform, whose aim is to identify the best potential clients globally, across borders? Thus, GettingGlobal is born, with the ambition of covering the European lack of a global portal that counterbalances the big American Internet companies and satisfies companies’ pressing needs: finding customers everywhere in the world and providing them with the necessary tools for doing business across borders at the most effective cost and in the most secure way.
