Collegiate Sun was started two years ago by three Cornell Students, selling sunglasses to college bookstores. Due to demand from current stores for sweaters, and national demand for "Made in America", the company is vertically integrating its knitwear production.

The company currently supplies 70 stores, has established relationships with senior buyers at B&N College and Follett, and has recruited experienced sales and operations team members.
