Company Summary

YAC will be the first minicab app that acts as a direct exchange between drivers and customers. The app will enable passengers to hail a low cost minicab from their smartphone. YAC will consolidate a fragmented market and provide an improved service for customers and drivers alike. YAC is highly disruptive as it removes the need for minicab companies, so enabling us to be the lowest cost operator and become the leader in a very competitive space.

    Nicko founded and runs Climate Cars Ltd (www.climatecars.com), one of London’s leading environmentally friendly car services with over 100 vehicles. Nicko started Climatecars at the age of 23 in 2007 and raised 2 rounds of equity totalling £500,000. Climatecars turned over £2.7m last year, has been profitable since
    2009 and its run rate is £4m. Climatecars operates in the corporate space with clients such as Investment Banks and Multi-Nationals.

  • Simon Mizzi

    Simon was part of the founding team that set up ‘Kabbee’; one of London’s mini-cab price comparison apps and booking systems. In November 2011 he left them in order to pursue this project. Simon has spent over 2 years both researching and working
    within the sector. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant from PwC London in 2004 where he spent 4 years working in Corporate Finance, Audit and Transaction Services.

  • Richard Lewis Jones
    Mr

    Richard has been a Non-Eexecutive Director at Climatecars since launch and worked with Nicko on everything from strategy & fund raising to operations. He is currently managing a £150m corporate venture capital group for British Gas. Prior to this he worked at Climate Change Capital, Lehman Brothers & Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.

    He studied for his BSc Computer Science at Leeds and for his MBA at
    LBS (& Wharton) where he was an AF Scholar.
