Company Summary

Clean Steel takes production off-cuts and waste from the major tyre manufacturers. Where these rubber/steel/textile composites were previously incinerated at a cost of >£100/tonne, Clean Steel is able to recover them and sell the separated products back into industry at >50% gross margin. This is environmentally beneficial as it displaces very energy intensive new raw materials. Customers are leading technical rubber product manufacturers.

Paul is an aeronautical engineer by training and identified the first technology which could make a dent in the tyre wire problem.
