Luis Garcia-RubioFounder, President and CSO
Dr. Garcia-Rubio is a world renowned engineer and scientist with expertise in optics and particle analysis. A serial entrepreneur, he was principal/co-founder of Ocean Optics creating a $600 million market through launch of the world’s first high resolution miniaturized spectrometers. His expertise is now directed to applications of optics and algorithms that are advancing rapid, accurate and innovative medical and biotech analysis systems.

Debra HuffmanSenior Principal Scientist
Dr. Huffman brings over 20 yrs of technical experience in infectious disease detection to Claro. Her research includes the development of methods for the detection of pathogenic organisms in matrices ranging from bodily fluids to drinking water. Dr. Huffman contributes her clinical laboratory expertise to the research and development of diagnostic products and is a key inventor and developer of Claro’s second-generation intellectual property.

Jack LindonResearch Fellow
Dr. Lindon has extensive product development experience in medical and personal care products. At Baxter Healthcare he focused on blood analysis and established a Thrombosis, Hemostasis and Blood Compatibility testing facility. Later at Kimberly Clark his research focused on the properties and handling techniques for human body fluids. Now at Claro his expertise is focused on fluid systems for processing bacterial, protein and cellular samples.
