Cindy Imperato was a member of the Criminal Rules Committee, chaired the Judicial Nominating Criminal Procedures Committee, and is currently on Executive Council for the Criminal Law Section of the Florida Bar.

At the past, Cindy Imperato served as a Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor with the Office of Statewide Prosecution. She held this position for thirteen years.

In her role as a prosecutor, Imperato was responsible for statewide grand jury presentations and the prosecution of multi jurisdictional organized crime involving racketeering, homicides, home invasion robberies, drug trafficking, white-collar fraud, police corruption, and street gang violence. Cindy Imperato holds a law degree, she also has a Masters Degree in Criminology from Florida State University.

Cindy Imperato was the President of the St. Thomas More Society of Broward County. She is a board member of the American Red Cross. She has served the community therefor the past seven years. In addition, she is on the Advisory Board of Broward County Crime Commission, Women in Distress and the PACE school for Girls.
