    Karl Shade started in the food service industry at the age of 17 at Bojangles Chicken & Biscuits as a crew member. During his first two years, he assisted the managers with running a crew of 8 to 9 people. After graduating high school, he was promoted to shift manager, ordering inventory and producing a monthly crew schedule.
