Our device has FDA clearance and is used by surgeons to prevent and repair nerve injury using state-of-the-art technology for intra-operative nerve location, assessment and repair. The $663 disposable device is beautifully positioned squarely between poor/old and costly/overkill technologies .

  • Don Hubbard
    VP, Sales and Marketing

    Don currently oversees sales growth of the CHECKPOINT Stimulator/Locator. Previously, he was SVP for PartsSource, a medical parts supplier, where he led sales growth from $4 to $110 million and grew the sales team from 4 to over 80 members. In both 2005 and 2010, Mr. Hubbard received the DMSE Sales Executive of the Year Award for Northern Ohio. Prior to joining PartsSource, Don served the rental car industry as a sales and operations executive.

  • Leonard Cosentino
    CEO and President

    Before starting Checkpoint, Mr. Cosentino served as VP Business Development for NDI Medical, a medical device development company, and for more than 20 years provided transactional and general legal counsel to early stage companies, public and private companies, venture capital firms and entrepreneurs. Mr. Cosentino also serves as a Managing Director of the NDI Healthcare Fund, an early stage medical device investment fund.

    VP, Market Development

    Mark brings over 25 years of medical device experience to the market development activities he drives at Checkpoint having held senior positions at both large and emerging medical device companies spanning multiple disease states and technologies. Much of Mark's past experience includes global market development for neurostimulation product lines, with companies or clients such as Medtronic, Nevro and Advanced Bionics.

  • Scott Kozin
    Clinical Advisor

    Dr. Kozin is Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine and Hand Surgeon at Shriners Hospital for Children. Dr. Kozin has served in many leadership positions in the fields of orthopaedics and hand/upper extremity surgery, including President of the American Association of Hand Surgery (2008-2009). At present he is President Elect for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

  • Michael Hausman
    Clinical Advisor

    Dr. Hausman is the Robert K. Lippmann Professor of Orthopedics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Vice-Chairman and Chief of Hand and Elbow Surgery in the Department of Orthopedics at Mount Sinai. He also serves as a consultant editor for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research and the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications.

  • Marilyn Eisele
    CFO

    Ms. Eisele has served as CFO to public, private and venture backed companies and co- founded several spin-out businesses. She has helped establish international operations to manufacture product and launch sales. Ms. Eisele has led equity financing rounds in excess of $100 million and has been involved in over thirty acquisitions. Ms. Eisele began her career at PriceWaterhouse Coopers where she spent fifteen years.
