I have a provisional patent. In summary: it creates and maintains "chat rooms" for specific business locations, organizations, military bases or neighborhoods that may be accessed by any user in that specific location or remotely from other locations. It is more of a "public" chat than anything currently available. The uses are anything from connecting with someone cute at the pub to alerting soldiers or students of a problem on a campus or base.
