Chapul is the pioneer behind the consumption of insects as a nutritious and sustainable protein source. Chapul launched in 2012 with a successful Kickstarter campaign, followed by an appearance on NBC's Shark Tank where it secured an investment from Mark Cuban. Since then, Chapul has continued introducing insects into Western cuisine as a healthy and sustainable food, and is preparing to launch two new product lines in the fall of 2016.

Pat's career has taken him from surf guide, to whitewater rafting guide, to hydrologist, to insect-entrepreneur, all driven by his passion to ensure a brighter future. As the leading innovator in the edible insect industry, Pat's been interviewed by CNN, Huff. Post, WSJ, NY Times, and has spoken from TEDx, University, and International stages.
Pat earned a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and an M.S in Watershed Mgmt from the U. of Arizona.

He has extensive experience implementing solutions to complex environmental challenges, and a particular interest in harnessing the power of entrepreneurship to drive environmental innovation.
Drew earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Utah State University, and a MBA from MIT.
