Since its founding in 2009, Catchafire has become the world’s largest online skills-based volunteer platform. Rachael has been named one of Fast Company’s Most 100 Creative People in Business, received the NYC Venture Fellowship and the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award.

    Lead Software Engineer

    Jared Nuzzolillo, has more than 12 years of experience in web-centered software engineering and has served as a senior software engineer at startups of all shapes and sizes. One of the first engineers at Etsy, Jared built web applications that enabled people to make a living doing what they love. Later, at Parachutes, he designed and built educational software that helped people learn what they love.

    Chris Maguire, is a seasoned entrepreneur and innovator. In 2005 he co-founded Etsy.com, a handmade marketplace that has since grown into a worldwide community of millions. In 2009 he co-founded Postling, a social media simplifier for small businesses used by tens of thousands of small businesses.

    Scott Smith, began his career as a trader at Goldman Sachs before becoming a Portfolio Manager at Blue Mountain Capital, an $11bn multi-strategy hedge fund. His experience researching and investing companies has given him a wealth of knowledge he now draws from to help Catchafire optimize its operations and scale its marketing efforts.
