Company Summary

Catalytic Women offers education and events to women leveraging their wealth for social impact. Giving Circles are a new product that will create an online social platform for thousands of women to align wealth and personal values. We build communities of empowered women who donate at any level and, together, select organizations to fund. Women can engage with friends and across generations, and learn about and fund social issues.

    CEO & Founder

    As CEO of Catalytic Women, Melanie has created a community of social impact resources and peer connection for the fastest growing demographic of wealth: women. She understands how women make financial decisions differently, and has used social impact to educate, create community & build women's financial confidence. Her career includes corporate finance (Levi Strauss), brand management (P&G), and major gift fundraising (The Nature Conservancy).

  • Katy Geisert
    Events Manager

    As Events Coordinator, Katy plays a critical role in providing member service and sharing best practices in social impact with a larger community. Prior to joining Catalytic Women, Katy worked in Chicago for DRI, a non-profit membership organization, where she assisted with event management and member relations. Katy received her B.A. from California State University of Bakersfield and has pursued additional studies at CSU Fullerton.

  • Anna Guardiola
    Projects Manager

    Anna's focus is building audiences and outreach for Catalytic Women. As a social entrepreneur, she has worked with accelerator and incubator programs for Opinno Open Innovation and HUB Bay Area
    A native of Spain, Anna moved to CA to complete an Int'l. Diploma/Certificate in Project Mgmt. at UC. She has a BA from the University of Barcelona, a BA and a degree in Scientific Translation and Interpreting from Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona.

  • Gretchen Giles
    Social Media Manager

    Gretchen is an award-winning journalist with 17 years of experience, many of them as publicist of O'Reilly Media and editor of the North Bay Bohemian alternative newsweekly. She was awarded an NEA grant to study visual arts journalism in 2009. We are incredibly lucky to have her time and talents on a part-time basis.
