Kevin Jones, the founder of Cardinal Resources, is a geologist, entrepreneur, and the inventor of the Red Bird. His previous business startup was part of the 7th Fastest Growing Environmental Engineering Business (ZweigWhite Associates, 1997), and an Engineering News-Record Top 200 Environmental Business in the US (2000 through 2004). He has led the company to the INC-5000, multiple local rankings, and an international environmental presence.

Joyce O’Connor is a professional geologist and M.B.A. with extensive management experience. A Cardinal Resources founder, she has worked in industry and consulting. She is an experienced project manager and regulatory specialist.

Jonathan Morgan conceived and now leads the H2O Coalition, the finance arm for Red Bird Systems. He led the Dakar office for the last 2 years and worked in Africa for over 8. With a political science background, his work has included evaluating economic trends, political stability, and market trends; and research, marketing, contract advice, developing local representatives and partnerships, opportunity development and closing negotiations.

Carol J. McKee, a founder, is a professional geologist and environmental management professional with almost 30 years of diverse experience. She is involved in the day to day management of Cardinal Resources’ Pittsburgh office and has been working to find markets and applications for Red Bird systems for the military. She has led environmental projects in Brazil and Australia.

Barbara H. Jones, a founder, is an environmental engineer and microbiologist. Ms. Jones has been key in the development of rigorous testing protocols for Red Bird Systems and implementation strategies. With experience in challenging international environments, she understands the need for rugged and dependable water treatment systems. Working with Mr. Morgan, she is also helping lead the implementation of the H2O Coalition program in Senegal.

Juanita Britton is an investor, advocate, philanthropist, and director for Red Bird Systems Africa. She has lived and worked in Africa and has many professional and personal ties there, including being a Queen Mother for a Village in Ghana. She is a well-known retail entrepreneur and community activist in the Washington, DC area.
