Company Summary

CRI is the first company worldwide to produce renewable fuel on a commercial scale from CO2 emissions and renewable power reducing GHG emissions by up 100% compared to fossil fuels. CRI‘s generates Renewable Methanol (RM) which can be blended directly into gasoline or used as feedstock for fuel components or green chemicals. CRI's customers include fuel distributors and biodiesel producers. Current operations include an up and running RM plant.

Degree in Nuclear Engineering and Management from MIT, Stanford, Dartmouth College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

  • Benedikt Orri Einarsson
    Director of Finance and Corporate Planning

    Prior to joining CRI, Mr. Einarsson headed the Corporate Restructuring division of Landsbankinn, and served as a Director in the Corporate Finance division at Landsbankinn. Benedikt holds M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and B.Sc. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from University of Iceland.

    Director of Business Development

    Prior to joining CRI, Mr. Stefansson was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Decode Genetics, Advisor to the Minister of Economic Affairs, Senior Analyzer and Consultant to the Executive Branch of Landsbankinn. He has completed ABD towards Ph.D. degree in Economics at UCLA and also holds MA degree and B.Sc. degree in economics from UCLA and University of Iceland.

  • Paul Wuebben
    Senior Director of Renewable Fuels

    Prior to joining CRI, Mr. Wuebben was the Clean Fuels Officer for California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District , he also served as Clean Energy Advisor to the Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency. Paul received his Masters in City Planning degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and was an U.S. EPA Fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health.

  • Omar Sigurbjornsson
    Director of Research and Development

    Prior to joining CRI, Mr. Sigurbjonrsson worked as a researcher for the department of chemistry both for university of British Colombia as well as University of Iceland. Omar has earned M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry and B.Sc. in Chemistry from University of British Columbia and University of Iceland.
