After years in banking and private equity, decided to apply finance skills for social good. Launched, managed, and ran the Wharton Social Venture Fund, the 1st student-run VC fund at Wharton. Has reviewed dozens of deals in education and healthcare, and co-invested with Investors' Circle, Acumen Fund, & New Schools Venture Fund. Left finance and took sabbatical from McKinsey for operating role at UChicago Medical Center, then spun off CancerIQ.

Won a Macarthur "Genius" grant in 2005 for research on disparities in outcomes for breast cancer patients. The first to take a genetic based approach to understanding racial differences in survival, using data modeled by CancerIQ. Her evidence-based approach to medicine has broadened our understanding of the complex interactions of genes, lifestyle, and cancer causation. With this knowledge, she is leading expert on personalized cancer treatment.

After Harvard and a quant hedge fund, left analyst role to run the front office of the Shanghai Sharks, as the Director of Basketball Operations. Used Moneyball-style data analytics to inform personnel and strategy decisions, which helped the Sharks improve from 3rd to last in the league to 6th in 2 years. Leveraged this experience to lead basketball analytics for China’s Men’s National Basketball Team.
