Company Summary
BURN Manufacturing Company (BMC) was created to address the enormous need for clean burning cookstoves. 3 billion people rely on biomass fuels such as wood and charcoal for cooking globally. Burning biomass in inefficient stoves causes more deaths than malaria. Harvesting fuelwood also drives deforestation. However, this offers an enormous market opportunity. BMC will manufacture 3 million clean cookstoves in East Africa in the next 10 years.
