Broken Crayons facilitates transactions between artists who seek large venues for murals, and commercial property owners or managers who seek to either improve the value of their holdings, or create a better connection with local communities. Artists post their work for free, and begin a "premium" membership with a contractual arrangement. Artists receive QR codes to connect their work with visitors who use it to connect to the artist's page.

    In addition to being a major league fan of street art, Rob has worked for Apple and IBM as a customer service professional, and has also been a somewhat eclectic designer and project developer. Rob served as commissioner of human relations for the city of Boulder from 2003 to '08, and has been a contributing force on the local political scene for decades.
