I designed and made a speaking valve with a saftey system that will allow a person to resume breathing in case the balloon of the tracheostomy tube has been left inflated when the valve goes on to the tube. If the standard valve of today is put on an inflated balloon of the trach tube, the person will pass out and death is likely. My system has been designed to prevent this from happening. My customers are trached people.
