Company Summary

BRD will be the dominant motorcycle company of the electric era. BRD is leading the multi-$B transition in powered two-wheelers (motorcycles & scooters) from internal combustion engine drivetrains to electric by developing technology with drastically superior cost and range capabilities than the state of the art in electric vehicles. BRD targets markets where electrics have demonstrably superior performance: initially, midweight motorcycles.

His background in mechanical engineering and fine arts facilitate his role as leader of both technical and creative teams, and have led to a specialization in creating and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

    CTO and Chief Engineer [Owner]

    Mr. Dorresteyn is an experienced product designer, mechanical and electro-mechanical engineer, and CNC machinist. His broad skillset facilitated the architecting and system engineering of the innovative BRD drivetrain, and his deep manufacturing expertise make him the ideal leader for the commercialization and production of his designs.

    CDO and Manufacturing Expert [Owner]

    Mr. Sand is a founder and the Chief Design Officer for BRD Motorcycles. Mr. Sand is a seasoned and broadly capable industrial designer with over 25 years experience developing products for action sports industries. Jeff has created the current BRD motorcycle chassis and bodywork as well as its manufacturing methods.

    VP of Sales

    Mr. Pritzker is an experienced manager and consultant specializing in technical product development, marketing, and sales department organization and documentation, with a concentration in E2Ws and EVs. He has consulted or collaborated on E2W/EV projects with OEMs, Design and engineering firms, and EV and EV-tech startups.

    Mr. Donoughe is an investor in and advisor to BRD Motorcycles with 30 years of engineering and manufacturing experience . Mr. Donoughe was COO of Bright Automotive, a manufacturer of commercial electric trucks and a member of the Board of Directors of SinoEV Technologies, a manufacturer of electric powertrain systems.
