BragBet is a brand new social betting concept involving groups of friends relying on each other’s sports savvy and knowledge to beat the odds and bet online. Our audience is heavily skewed towards male groups, aged 18-35, with a strong number already comfortable and familiar with existing online gambling sites. At BragBet we are going after a massive multi billion-dollar market with 5x growth forecasted in the next five years.

  • Jonathan O'Neill
    Lead Architect

    Jonathan is an experienced engineer with over 15 years experience in the field with both blue chip companies such as HP and more recently startups. He has spent the past number of years working with a range of startups in the mobile, social and consumer application space. Jonathan holds an Msc in Experimental Physics and an Msc in Technology Management, both from NUIG.

  • Phil Riordan
    CEO

    Phil is a chartered management accountant coming to Bragbet with both financial markets and strong startup experience including founding an award winning festival and previous financial roles with JP Morgan, IBT and Dolmen Stockbrokers. Phil most recently was VP of Finance and Operations with Getitkeepit and brite:bill from pre funding through it’s growth to a seven figure revenue multinational employing over 20 staff.

  • Brian O'Mullane
    CTO

    Brian is the Principle Investigator of the CASALA research group in DkIT, to help create and commercialise IP in behaviour technology. Brian was principle engineer on CASALAs key project, a finalist for Irish Engineering Project of the year 2011. He has worked in both academia and industry working as a project manager, researcher and chief technical architect, including SmartGate the world first facial recognition border security clearance system

  • Conall McSorley
    Head of Business Development

    Conall has spent 13+ years working within the i-gaming industry. He was appointed to his first Board position as Marketing Director of Betabet in 2002 which was successfully sold to BetOnSports. He's held several Board and consultative positions in Europe and Asia in Sports Book and Financial Spread Betting businesses. As General Manager of Boyle Media, Boylesports B2B arm, he closed the BragBet partnership and investment from Boylesports side.

  • Nicola Riordan
    CMO

    Nicola has spent 10+ years working with online companies including Skype, TweetDeck, AlertMe, Reevoo, Soluto, and Parlingo. She held CMO and Marketing director roles in most of these companies and was Head of Product Marketing and Customer journey at Skype. She specialises in helping businesses to develop their online strategy and use new and existing marketing channels effectively to launch, acquire new users, grow virally and monetise.

  • Roland Gropmair
    Head of Mobile

    Roland is an experienced software engineer, IT project manager and technology consultant with more than 15 years industry experience, working with several Fortune 500 companies in Europe, US and Canada. He has focused solely on mobile development, iOS in particular, for the past 3 years having founded mApps.ie, a consultancy that delivers innovative and high-quality mobile app solutions to startups and established companies.
