Bookigee is developing a suite of products to create this new ecosystem. Our solutions focus on the creation of a new data driven "info-structure" to empower the established and evolving infrastructure. WriterCube, a DIY Marketing & Analytics app for Authors launches in Nov. 2012.

  • Kristen McLean
    Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

    From 2005-2010, Kristen was the Exec. Dir. of the Association of Booksellers for Children (ABC), one of a the national trade associations that networks the book industry. Before that, Kristen spent 12 years in the book and toy industry in various roles including frontline retailing, merchandising, buying, commission sales, and managing marketing for one of Houghton Mifflin imprints. She is an industry thought-leader on the future of the book.

  • Victor Oliveira
    Content/Co-Founder

    Victor oversees all aspects of Operations for Bookigee. Prior to co-founding Bookigee, he was the Dir. of Retail Operations for the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston, MA. Victor has also held positions as the GM of Henry Bear’s Park, an independent toy chain in the Boston area, the Head Buyer of the Museum of Science in Boston and the Director of Merchandising for Viacom/Nickelodeon’s online retailing project, Red Rocket.

  • Glen Surnamer
    Business/Co-Founder

    From ‘94-‘07 Glen was partner at Van der Moolen USA, a publicly traded broker-dealer listed on the NYSE and Amsterdam Stock Exchange. At VDM Glen was a member of the NYSE, a senior trading partner, and served as COO from ‘06 to ‘07. He then became COO of Curex Capital in 2008, an investment management firm in NYC, before striking out on his own. He holds a BA in English from Emory University and earned his MBA in Finance in ‘98 from NYU.

  • Emily Gonzales
    Technical/Co-Founder

    As Bookigee’s technical ace-in-the-hole, Emily manages all aspects of Bookigee’s product development, as well as our technical build. Prior to joining Bookigee, she was a Director at Expense Reduction Analysts, where she helped a variety of businesses streamline their practices and increase profits since 2007. Prior to that, she was a Senior Design Engineer at Motorola for 5 years. She holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of Miami.

  • Tracey Daniels
    Marketing/Co-Founder

    Tracey oversees the outreach to Bookigee’s core constituency of Authors & Publishers, and our educational and marketing efforts. She is the founder and principal of Media Masters Publicity, a full-service agency dedicated to promoting books. She has more than 25 years of experience working directly with authors. Her corporate clients have included HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Scholastic, Penguin, and Candlewick Press among many others.

  • Robert Boyle
    Engineering

    15+ year sr. software developer & Java/Open Source expert overseeing our data/engineering strategies. Prior: founder/CTO-Podaddies (in-stream video ads); Senior Software Developer-Hands-on Mobile (mobile video & SMS client server applications & deploying J2ME; Wrote code to predict stock activity for Starmine. Career began at Quokka Sports - developed tools to stream video and telemetry data, and applications to stream live data and video.
