Design EngineerTonya received her BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University and then joined the R&D team at Bonutti Technologies. Over the last 6 years, she has assisted the team with designing new and innovative medical electrical equipment, specifically ultrasonic energy applications. Her experience ranges from prototyping, pre-production of products, design, part specification, purchasing and medical electrical testing.

In 2015, she received a Masters degree in biomedical engineering from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Her research at the graduate level consisted of studying 3D printed Hela cells and studying treatments for cancer.
