BodeTree was founded in 2010 on a simple premise - small businesses (SMBs) should have access to all the tools, insights and education that Fortune 500 companies enjoy and to make it as simple as possible for these SMBs to be funded by financial institutions (FI) to enable them to grow and thrive. Data is the key - almost 90% of all SMBs in the country cannot provide organized financials in a timely manner. With BodeTree, SMB can immediately learn what is going on in their business, identify the opportunities and challenges and to connect with the right solution providers to take action. For the FI, aggregating the requisite data they need to make a credit decision (or even know how to engage with a SMB) can take weeks, if not months. BodeTree can deliver this information in less than a day, in a structured, standardized format.

BodeTree's business model makes money through subscriptions and transactions. We sell subscriptions to FIs that provide a co-branded version of our solution to their SMB customers, free of charge. The FI gains a powerful engagement tool to build deeper relationships, more efficiently serve these customers and differentiate itself in the marketplace. BodeTree's platform also offers ancillary solutions to SMBs to help them accelerate their growth or address a challenge, including marketing/insurance/consultation/etc. BodeTree makes money on each of these successful sales.

Our greatest competitive advantage is that we offer a two-sided platform that benefits both the SMB and the FI. This allows for dramatically greater adoption, lower customer acquisition costs and significantly improved retention and product uptake rates.

In the past year, we have signed up some major customers, including The Hartford, Commerce Bank, CAN Capital and The Company Corporation. In total, these signings represent over 2MM SMBs that will be actively marketed our solution from these partners.
