In the last 15 years, trucks that private individuals pull their trailers have jumped to about 400/HP and almost 1,000/lb.ft. of torque. (About 2.5 times their rating in 2000!) Yet trailer tires have remained virtually unchanged resulting in common, dangerous, tire blowouts.
